February 27, 2012 Best simulator to hit my PC. + The tracks are laser scanned to match it`s real-life counter part to millimeters. + Great mic of cars of different classes for both oval and road racing + Licensing system for all users based on your safety. This helps in reducing the amount or crashes in regular races. For anyone who has done pick-up races, you will know how bad it can be. + iRating system rates you on your finishing position, making it a match making system. This helps match you with racers of your caliber. + Major updates every 13 weeks usually make it feel like a brand new game. + Hosted sessions allow you to create leagues for you to race a custom made series, or just single races of your choice. +The cost can be inexpensive when using the rebates and only purchasing content you want. If you love smaller, slower cars and find no need to buy the F1 or other high skill level content, you don`t have to. - The cost can be high when buying a lot of content. Must purchase content to keep moving forwards in licenses. - Can be very unforgiving. Damage model is very realistic. Don`t expect to bang wheels in an F1 car like in EA`s F1 games or GTR2. - High learning curve. You will crash, and you will curse. But the better you get, the more satisfying it is. This is a great game for the sim enthusiast. If you`re thinking about getting this game, you probably have already came from other sims you will most likely have a wheel and pedal set. If you don`t, the Logitech G27 or the Driving force GT are great wheels to start with. You will also need to practice often. Only 1 way to get faster and it`s trough practice.
